Calling all ghosts and goblins! Join us for Halloween fun at the City of Barrie’s Family Fright Fest!
The event is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. While the event takes place 3–9pm, younger ghosts and goblins, or those with sensitivities are encouraged to come early as the event will get scarier as the evening progresses. Parents/guardians are encouraged to use their discretion when deciding whether to participate in Family Fright Fest. Please note the below hours are catered to the following audiences:
- 3–4pm: Sensory-friendly for those who prefer a quieter and less scary experience (nothing will be animated, no scary costumes, and the lights will be on)
- 8–9pm: Recommended for ages 10+
Family Fright Fest activities happening throughout the evening include:

- Scary storytime with the Barrie Public Library on a Barrie Transit Halloween-themed bus
